The Woodland area.
We have created areas in the garden which replicate the conditions found in woodlands,
so that we can grow many species from China, Japan and North America.
Omphalodes cappadocica 'Cherry Ingram' with Geranium 'Bill Wallace'
Podophyllum peltatum is unusual as the flower emerges from the leaf joint.
New fronds unfurling on one of our many ferns.
We have a collection of 40 Arisaemas.
Arisaema nepenthoides from Central Himalayas and Western China, found on the edge
of forests and in forest glades.
Arisaema concinnum from Sino-Himalayan countries (Himachal Pradesh to Tibet).
Arisaema ciliatum from the forests of Yunan and Sichuan in Western China.
Arisaema dilatatum grows in broad leaved mountain forests in Bhutan and Western Sichuan.
