The Dry Garden
As the garden enjoys a great deal of direct sunshine during the day we have a large area for plants who love dry conditions to thrive.
Our garden provides different growing conditions from a wet bog, to a woodland area to areas which provide drier growing conditions.
There are 3 main areas of the garden - The Bog Garden, The Dry Garden and The Woodland Garden. Find out more below.
The Garden
We have created areas in the garden which replicate the conditions found in woodlands, so that we can grow many species from China, Japan and North America.
The Bog Garden
The Bog Garden is fed by numerous underground springs, so even in the driest summers it stays wet. The garden as a whole contains over 150 different species and varieties of Iris and 40 Primulas.
